About The Founder & Host

Hi, I’m Jordan LaGasse. I’m a 16yr old student-athlete, an aspiring sports journalist, and the host of Run It Back with J.

I created this podcast to go beyond the scoreboard and stats to share the real stories behind the game.

I compete in varsity basketball and track at my high school, as well as, play AAU basketball. Being an athlete gives me first-hand experience with the discipline, pressure, and mindset it takes to perform at a high-level, and it helps me connect with the people I interview because I understand what the grind really looks like on and off the court.

Through thoughtful interviews and honest conversations, I highlight the lessons, growth, and experiences that shape athletes beyond the box score, as well as have a little fun with each guest.

Run It Back with J is built by an athlete, for athletes, and it’s meant to be a space where preparation, perseverance, and purpose matter just as much as performance.

Mission

My goal is to give athletes a platform to share their stories, thoughts, and perspectives, while shining a light on the mindset, discipline, and resilience behind the sport

Vision

I want this podcast to become a trusted space where athletes at every level feel seen, heard, and represented, and where authenticity, growth, and impact matter more than headlines and hype.
